Q. I think I’m having technical issues. What should I do?
A. Sometimes it's a simple thing like updating your browser. Check to be sure that you have a modern version of Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari . Also, check your browser preferences section to be sure JavaScript is enabled.
Q. I have recently moved or updated my email address. Can I change my registration information for this promotion?
A. We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to the number of entries we receive, we are unable to change registration information unless you are awarded a prize. If you do win a prize during the promotional period, please contact and provide your updated information.
Q. Why can't I use my P.O. Box address to register or claim my prize?
A. Your home address allows us to identify your residence for eligibility purposes.
Q. How do I enter the Contest?
A. Please follow these steps.

  1. Register
  2. Choose an image from either your computer or a social album (if using mobile, you will only be able to upload from Facebook)
  3. Enter caption describing the image
  4. Click the preview entry button
  5. Review your submission
  6. Click the submit button to complete the entry process

Q. Can someone under the age of 13 participate in the contest?
A. If you’re under the age of 13, but still want to be a part of the MINECON Earth Costume Contest, you can still participate! Here’s what you’ll need to do:

  1. Find your parent or a legal guardian that is at least 18 years or older.
  2. Kindly ask them to registeron your behalf and be a part of your submission.
  3. Once registered, put on your costumes and upload a photo to the Tandem or Group categories!
Q. What are the prizes for this contest?
A trip for those featured in each winning Submission, and up to two (2) travel companions* to Atlanta, GA, U.S.A for the MINECON tournament (the “Event”). Trip package includes round trip, coach-class air transportation for three (3) from a major airport near winner’s home (determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) to Atlanta, GA; three (3) nights' accommodations at a hotel determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion (single room, double occupancy (if winning Submission was from the Solo Category), double rooms, double occupancy (if winning Submission was from the Tandem Category) up to three rooms, triple or quad occupancy (if winning Submission was from the Group Category)); ground transportation to and from destination airport and hotel; $500 USD spending money; and travel agent services

Q. What are the guidelines for submitting a photo?
  • The Submission must be in gif, .png, .tiff, .bmp, .jpeg, .pdf formats (if photo)
  • The Submission must not exceed five (5) MB in size (if photo) or one (1) minute in length in size (if video)
  • The Submission may contain a short description. (If the Submission includes a description, it must be in English.)

Q. Can I change the image I uploaded?
A. Images cannot be modified or deleted once they are submitted for any reason.
Q. How do I access the contest via my mobile device?

Q. I entered the sweepstakes, but didn’t receive a confirmation email. What do I do?
A. To make sure you get emails, add to your address book. Fill out the form below to let us know you didn’t receive your confirmation email.
Q. How do they determine finalists?
A. After the conclusion of the Contest Period, a panel of qualified judges determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion will select the three (3) entrants with the highest-scoring Submissions (the potential "Contest Winners"), regardless of Category, from among all eligible Submissions based on the following criteria (“Judging Criteria”):

  • Creativity/Originality (50%)
  • Quality of Costume (50%)

In the event of a tie, the entrant whose Submission received the highest score for Creativity/Originality, as determined by the qualified judges, in their sole discretion, will be deemed the applicable Contest Winner from among the tied entrants. Sponsor reserves the right to select fewer than three (3) Contest Winners, if, in its sole discretion, it does not receive a sufficient number of eligible and qualified Submissions. Sponsor will not disclose judging scores.
Q. When will the winner be notified?
A. The winner will be contacted on or around 10/30. The winner will be notified via the contact information provided upon registration.
